Dennis Livinai

Dennis Livinai was born in 1971 in Okapa, Eastern Highlands Province, however, he spent his youth in Canberra, Australia. It was there that Dennis started his lifetime obsession. Art.

Majoring in Fine Art and Graduating from the National Arts School in 1993, Dennis work continues to show an evolution of style. His pieces are combination of abstract and realism. His style, modern and refreshing. A kaleidoscope of color, shapes and lines. His work is a breath of fresh air and promises an experience for the senses.

Abstract artwork with vibrant colors and geometric shapes

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine I would become an Artist. Though I could draw and paint, I initially wanted to be a pilot. I wanted to be free like a bird. I love to see the world ‘up-side-down’...the world is presented in new and interesting ways every- time.

The wave of lines, there are all sorts and they form everything. I ‘am seeing beyond sight, seeing invisible shapes. Seeing all sorts of nature, some beyond my grasp, disappearing before I can capture them.

My style gives my vision and expression depth. These are interpretations, fragments, glimpses and flashes of memory and thoughts in my minds eye. I can see the future, the present and the past. When I am caught in that moment, my dinner goes cold. I lose sense of time and am in another dimension. There is no beginning and no end. An inter-dimensional existence.
